    Central Highlands Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Treatment Plant Operator to join the team based in Capella.

    In this role you’ll be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and associated infrastructure.

    We are looking for an effective team player who is able to provide mentoring and assistance to other members of the water team.  This position involves participating in an on-call, call-out roster.

    To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

You will work predominately in the planning side of the business with the opportunity to champion improvements on infrastructure which provide positive lasting impacts for the community.

    Working with us, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Reviewing applications and issuing permits for various works
    • Undertaking inspections and providing technical advise based on findings
    • Investigating engineering issues affecting Council Infrastructure assets
    • Coordinate the planning, design and delivery of outsourced and in-house projects in line with legislative requirements and governance frameworks
    • Leading and mentoring a small team

    To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

    • Demonstrated experience in a similar role

    In this leadership position, the Coordinator of Rates and Revenue will be instrumental in driving this critical function within Corporate Services. 

    Your key responsibilities will include: 

    • Ensuring the efficient operation of Council’s rate and accounts receivable functions 
    • Leading and developing 4 team members across the rates and accounts receivable functions 
    • Budget and Financial reporting and analysis responsibility  
    • Implementing improvements to procedures across systems and processes.
