Submissions are now open for round one, 2024 of the Central Highlands Regional Council community grants program, with $165,000 ready to be put to good use by community groups region wide.
The program has 3 categories:
- Community Assistance – up to $5,000
- Sport and Recreation – up to $5,000
- Community Improvement – up to $20,000
In 2023, council supported 29 projects over 2 rounds with recipients receiving funding toward projects such as solar panel installation, community festival expenses and weather-proofing buildings.
‘Community Grants are a fantastic way for local clubs and organisations to make improvements to their facilities and programs to offer improved services that will benefit the community as a whole,’ said Mayor Kerry Hayes.
‘Community groups are a pillar of strength in our region and it’s always exciting to see the benefits this grant program provides,’ he continued.
Applications close Sunday 28 January 2024 with announcement of successful applicants expected on Wednesday 28 February 2024.
