From horticulture to diesel fitting, nine exciting traineeship and apprenticeship positions are now up for grabs with the Central Highlands Regional Council.
The annual apprentice and trainee program is co-funded by the Department of Education and Training’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work First Start initiative.
‘Whether you are fresh out of school, looking to re-enter the workforce or just wanting to expand your skills, these positions are an opportunity to embark on a fulfilling career with local government,’ CEO Scott Mason said.
‘Council is a unique employer, offering more than 400 occupations and career stability that’s transferable throughout Australia.
‘Once you’re employed with us we want to keep you, so we also offer opportunities like further training courses, study leave and attendance at forums.’
Mr Mason said all successful applicants would earn while they learn, gaining a nationally recognised qualification in their field.
