The Australian Broadcasting Commission changed over to a new satellite last week without prior notice and the transmission of ABC television programming to The Willows, Sapphire and Anakie, and several other small Queensland towns, has been disrupted.
Central Highlands Regional Council has responded by asking its broadcast services contractor, N-Com, to compile a scope and quote for a reset of the current responders and installation of new satellite decoders at the transmission station as a matter of urgency, however it may take up to a month to fix the issue.
Regular updates on the progress to restore this service will be posted here or telephone 1300 242 686.
