Submissions are now open for round two of the 2024 Central Highlands Regional Council Community Grants program, with more than $165,000 ready to be put to good use by community groups region wide.
The program has 3 categories:
- Community Assistance – up to $5,000
- Sport and Recreation – up to $5,000
- Community Improvement – up to $20,000
Last round, council supported 11 projects including resources for children’s allied health activities, repairing stables at showgrounds, and tennis court upgrades.
‘Community grants are an important part of council’s commitment to supporting resilient, vibrant and inclusive communities,’ said Mayor Janice Moriarty.
‘The program is more than just financial support – it’s about investing in the aspirations of our communities and empowering our local clubs and organisations to create positive change for the Central Highlands.’
Applications close on Sunday 15 September 2024 with announcement of successful applicants expected in late October.
