It’s time to break out the art supplies and get creative!
Arts Around August is an annual program run from July through to September, promoting an assortment of locally run art and cultural events and workshops across the Central Highlands.
The calendar includes a range of arts and cultural opportunties hosted by artists, community groups, businesses and council across the three-month festival.
‘Arts Around August is a great way for people to try something new,’ said Mayor Kerry Hayes.
‘With everything from visual arts to dance and performance, whether you’re a first-timer or an art connoisseur – there’s something for everyone,’ he continued.
‘This year is extra special, with a major milestone event of the 30th annual Emerald Art Awards,’ he said.
See what events and workshops are coming up near you on the Arts around August page on the council’s website. The calendar will be updated regularly with new events over the course of the program.
You can also keep up to date on upcoming arts and cultural events in the new Arts Around August Facebook group.
