The Central Highlands Regional Council has adopted its 2015-16 Annual Report.
This annual report is a vibrant informative document that’s easy to read and has some excellent images that really portray what’s been happening around the region.
While the annual report is a statutory obligations, it’s also a narrative of the past year that will be important for the council’s historical record.
The annual report is designed to give the community an overview of the council’s performance.
This year the annual report includes quite specific project-based performance reports, some case studies around the more prominent activities and a number of staff profiles to introduce some of the faces behind the scenes.
There is also a one-page simple overview of the council’s financial status along with the community financial report, which puts the financial report in plain speak, and the comprehensive audited financial report for those with a more keen interest.
For the first time the annual report is to be entered in the Australasian Report Awards, which will give the council valuable feedback on the content of its report and enable it to be improved next year.
