Central Highlands libraries have purchased new devices for the community to loan, which are available from all branches.
The devices are:
- Handheld recorders – For budding interviewers or note taking
- GPS devices – For documenting unique places or items that might be of interest
- Audio Recording Kit – A microphone and headphones for recording high quality audio
Acting General Manager Communities, Leisa Donlan, discussed some of the many options for the devices.
‘For anyone with a story to tell, this is a great way to get started,’ she said.
‘There is a lot of history in this region, it would be great to see more stories added to the library historical collection, podcasts created, even video commentary and movies,’ she said.
