As summer rolls on and the weather heats up it might be tempting to give the garden a bit more to drink, but check for water restrictions before you turn on the tap.
All communities within the region, with the exception of Capella, are currently on Level 0, but this doesn’t mean a free-for-all watering schedule.
Level 0 includes no sprinklers on Mondays, sprinklers allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 5.00 am and 9.00 am and 7.00 pm and 11.00 pm only for odd-numbered houses.
For even-numbered houses, sprinklers are allowed Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays between 5.00 am and 9.00 am and 7.00 pm and 11.00 pm only.
Hand-watering is allowed at any time.
Capella is on Level 2 water restrictions, which means no sprinklers at any time; hand-held hoses, watering cans or buckets can be used at any time; micro-spray and drip systems fitted with timers may only be used between 7.00 pm and 8.00 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for odd-numbered houses and Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays for even-numbered houses. Lawn areas must not be watered at any time.
