The Emerald Photographic Club Inc. is for photography enthusiasts in the Central Highlands region to participate in activities to learn and/or improve their photography skills through educational workshops and activities. We meet on the first Wednesday each month at 6:30pm in the club room behind the Emerald Library. Our club is open to any member of the community who has an interest in photography, regardless of skill level. Our committee members and members with advanced level photography skills generously volunteer their personal time to organise and deliver workshops and club activities. Our goal is to share and improve photography skills and expand our knowledge in an inclusive environment.
• We engage members of the local community in our club activities; our workshops are open not only to members but also the general public
• We actively encourage the process of continuous improvement of technical skills as well as expression of creativity and self
• We currently have a display at the Emerald Airport showcasing member’s photographs of the Central Highlands for the community to enjoy
• Learning tools and videos are uploaded for the public to utilise on our public Facebook page.
Throughout the year, we provide opportunities for people to connect creatively, grow on their photographic journey, become more confident in their creative choices and technical abilities, and develop a sense of pride in their achievements and connection with the community surrounding them.
