The Queensland Training Awards (QTA) have been shining a spotlight on excellence in training and the transformative power of skills since 1962.
The prestigious awards recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations – celebrating excellence, innovation and quality in vocational education and training (VET).
Judging has now been finalised, and council is thrilled to share that Callie Eadie and Central Highlands Regional Council have made the top 3 for the Central Queensland Region!
- Callie Eadie – Training and Development Officer, (Certificate III in Business), in the category of Equity Student of the Year
- CHRC in the category of Large Employer of the Year
Also, a huge congratulations to Marissa Davis and Lena Barraclough on your nominations!
- Marissa Davis – Commercial Property Support Officer, (Certificate III in Business), in the category of Bob Marshman Trainee of the Year
- Lena Barraclough – Customer Service Officer, (Certificate III in Business), in the category of Bob Marshman Trainee of the Year
… What happens now?
The QTA Regional Finals are being held in Gladstone this year. All Regional finalists (top 3) from each of the 11 award categories will attend the QTA Regional dinner on Saturday 6 July, where the winners of each category will be announced.
The winners of the Regional Queensland Training Awards will then return to the stage in Brisbane later in the year for the State Finals where the State winners will be announced.
