Central Highlands Regional Council has today released its third quarterly performance report for the 2023-2024 financial year.
The report provides an update on the progress council has made towards its annual operational plan objectives.
‘With just one quarter to go, I am pleased to say we are well on our way to achieving our operational plan initiatives with 84% of activities now completed or on track,’ Acting CEO Ross Higgins said.
‘This quarter, council entered caretaker period in the lead up to the local government elections. However, we continued to deliver vital services and projects for our community during this time.’
Some highlights include:
- 726 km of the region’s roads were graded
- Over 1.5 million KL of treated water was supplied to our towns
- 22,615 head of cattle were processed at the Emerald Saleyards
- 5,453 calls were received at our customer service centres with 63% resolved at first point of contact
- 19 development applications were determined
- 4 art exhibitions were hosted at our two art galleries
- Over $95,000 was approved in community grant funding
- 6 youth activities were held with 627 attendees
- 1,650 ratepayers registered for e-notices
- New online booking system was launched for public venues and spaces
- Tieri-Capella pipeline project was completed
