Development and Planning Forum 2024
To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of World Town Planning Day, Central Highlands Regional Council’s Development and Planning team will host a forum in Emerald on Thursday 7 November 2024.
The forum will run from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm at McIndoe Function Centre, Emerald, and is designed to engage local business owners, developers, and community members with insightful discussions on business opportunities supported under the Central Highlands planning scheme.
Attendees can expect to learn about:
- How to access free planning advice and flood information.
- Recent strategic planning initiatives from the Council and the Central Highlands Development Corporation.
A special guest speaker from the Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works will also provide updates on state programs, such as Homes for Queenslanders and outline potential funding opportunities.
This is a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with council planners and hear firsthand about the future of development in the region. Attendees are encouraged to submit any questions they would like addressed during the event via email to: tplanning@chrc.qld.gov.au.
