Representatives from twelve Western Queensland councils and state and national government representatives will visit Emerald as Central Highlands Regional Council hosts the 82nd Western Queensland Local Government Association annual conference from 17 to 19 May.
The annual conference is a key event for Western Queensland councils to network and engage, identify and discuss important issues and put motions in place to be discussed at state and national local government conferences.
Councils represented are Barcaldine Regional Council, Barcoo Shire Council, Blackall-Tambo Regional Council, Boulia Shire Council, Central Highlands Regional Council, Diamantina Shire Council, Flinders Shire Council, Isaac Regional Council, Longreach Regional Council, McKinlay Shire Council, Richmond Shire Council and Winton Shire Council.
People can expect to see the formal functions take place across town on the conference days.
