Free wi-fi has landed at the Emerald Airport, with the new service officially live from yesterday.
Manager Airports David Voss said improvements in regional technology and infrastructure had enabled council to join its metropolitan counterparts and introduce the valuable service.
‘Previously the community has expressed interest in having a free airport wi-fi service and we are pleased to be able to deliver upon that request,’ Mr Voss said.
‘Whether travelling for business or leisure, all visitors to our airport will now be able to reap the benefits of this upgrade and stay connected.’
