Did you know that the Disaster Management Dashboard offers flood cameras for certain roads across the Central Highlands?
A total of 10 flood cameras can show you up-to-date images, including a new camera at the RR4 Drain just before Theresa Creek on the Gregory Highway.
‘These flood cameras give vision of roads and bridges that are at a high risk of flooding,’ Coordinator of Disaster Management and Community Resilience, Glenn Bell said.
‘After the recent flood event at Theresa Creek, we are excited to have a permanent flood camera in that area now.’
To view these cameras, head to the Disaster Management Dashboard and check ‘Flood Cameras’ on the right of the map. Then click on the blue icon to show the live image from the camera.
‘More cameras are coming, and all will be in high risk areas, giving our region even more information than ever before,’ Mr Bell continued
‘However, while the cameras do show the current conditions, please always drive safe, follow directions from police, and if it’s flooded, forget it,’ he finished.
