We talked, we listened, and we’ve come up with a better way of engaging with you. Council has drafted new and refreshed community engagement documents that are now available for community feedback.
Over the past six months council has listened to your suggestions and has developed a set of tools that will improve the way council engages with the community. Now, council wants to know if what has been developed is solid enough to put into action for the next five years.
‘Thank you to all who participated in the first survey,’ said CEO Sharon Houlihan.
‘We’d love your continued feedback to ensure our new documents align with what your suggestions were,’ she continued.
The new documents that can be found on Have Your Say Central Highlands page include:
• A refreshed Community Engagement Policy
• A new Community Engagement Statement
• A new Community Engagement Strategic Action Plan
• A new Community Engagement Framework
Council encourages the community to take the time to review the documents and complete the feedback survey to assist council to improve and refresh the way it engages.
The community feedback survey will close on 4 September. Find out more about the project by visiting the project page on the Have Your Say Central Highlands website.
