Previously: Council’s annual Christmas light competition ‘Light up your town’ winners have been announced.

Mayor Kerry Hayes said it was clear the Christmas spirit in the region cannot be dimmed as nominations remained consistent.

‘With 48 entries, we’ve had a consistent number of entries in our annual competition despite some adjustments and a few regular displays skipping this year,’ Mayor Hayes said.

‘This competition has become a community favourite and we love that our Christmas light decorations bring people together and showcase this great community.

‘A big thank you to everyone involved and congratulations to the winners.’

Entries were scored on originality, coordination and Christmas spirit with the top two in each area winning a prize.
