The Central Highlands Regional Council has launched a new online emergency management dashboard, providing a ‘one stop shop’ for information and updates.
The dashboard, accessible through council’s website homepage, pulls real time data from Queensland’s major infrastructure, utility and emergency service providers, including the Department of Transport and Main Roads, the Bureau of Meteorology and Ergon Energy.
Through the dashboard, residents and visitors to the region will be able to check on the latest road conditions, emergency news, power outages, fire incidents and weather warnings.
The dashboard is designed to be a single point of truth for the community, making it easier than ever to get the information you need and fast.
The site also provides links to useful resources and contacts, as well as registration for council’s SMS updates.
Residents are encouraged to jump on, take a look and get familiar with its functions, particularly ahead of summer.
Council will be promoting the dashboard and its many features in coming weeks, so stay tuned!
