Locals and visitors can now get better connected to clubs, events and services in the Central Highlands thanks to council’s launch of the My Community Directory platform.
The new online tool replaces the existing directory on council’s website.
Accessible through a computer or mobile app, the directory acts as a one-stop shop for those wanting to search for clubs, services and agencies or for organisations to recruit members and/or volunteers.
My Community Directory is a platform implemented by over 55 local governments across Australia. It is available to the public for viewing, and to not-for-profits, service providers, clubs and groups to list their services.
Starting today, organisations and groups are encouraged to create a listing on the My Community Directory platform here. Need help? Council will be hosting 2 recorded webinars to help users understand how to navigate the My Community Directory platform. See below for webinar dates and times.
‘There are a lot of clubs and services in our region that support everything from art, sport, common interest, advocacy and more,’ said Mayor Kerry Hayes.
‘With My Community Directory, people will see all clubs and services in one place instead of stumbling across Facebook pages or through word of mouth.’
My Community Directory has also collaborated with Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service to create Access my Healthcare. This page within the directory lists the fixed and travelling health services in the Central Highlands.
For enquiries about My Community Directory please contact council via enquiries@chrc.qld.gov.au or call 1300 242 686.
