Due to wet weather, council has unfortunately had to cancel this weekend’s Nogoa November celebrations at the Emerald Botanic Gardens.
‘This cancellation is bittersweet. The rain is welcome after such an extended period of dry conditions, it’s just unfortunate timing with our event,’ said Mayor Kerry Hayes.
‘Rain is a rare sight in the Central Highlands and spending a weekend indoors is a sacrifice we are willing to make,’ he continued.
With more rain predicted to fall over the coming days, residents are reminded to keep an eye on the changing conditions, especially when travel is involved.
