UPDATE 12PM 21 DEC:
Outdoor watering is now permitted for Tieri residents with level one water restrictions in place for the town from today (21 December 2020).
New equipment has been installed at the water treatment plant but there a still a few issues to iron out before supply will be back to normal.

UPDATE 9.00am 9 DEC:
Issues at the Tieri water treatment plant are ongoing with new equipment scheduled for installation in the coming week (14 to 18 December) to help maintain water in the reservoir.
Council would like to thank the Tieri community for saving water and their ongoing patience.
UPDATE 5.00pm 2 DEC:
Outdoor water use will remain prohibited in Tieri for the next 2 weeks.
In addition to the water mains break on 28 November, emergency repairs are required at the water treatment plant.
The water is compliant and safe to drink, but the plant is unable to produce enough to supply normal usage.
Another filter has been ordered to assist and will be installed as soon as it arrives.
Your patience and cooperation are most appreciated.
UPDATE 11.30 am 1 DEC:
The situation in Tieri remains the same, with no outdoor water use permitted until further notice.
Council parks and gardens crews have stopped all irrigation as well.
It is hoped the issue can be resolved next week.
Another update will be provided on Friday 4 December.
UPDATE 2.00 pm 30 NOV:
The water mains issue in Tieri has not yet been rectified.
Residents are asked to please continue with no outdoor water use and limited indoor water use.
Another update will be provided tomorrow afternoon (1 December 2020).

11.00 am 28 NOV:
Due to a water mains break, Tieri residents are asked to please stop all outdoor water use until further notice.
This includes watering lawns and gardens.
Limiting indoor water use to essential needs will also be of great assistance.
Glencore is aware of the situation.
Crews are working to rectify the issue and an update will be provided on Monday morning.
