The Rolleston community is set to enjoy a refreshed experience at the Rolleston Hall and Library, thanks to a series of essential upgrades completed in March.
These improvements, undertaken as part of Central Highlands Regional Council’s 2023-2024 Capital Budget, promise to offer a more comfortable and functional environment for all.
New carpets have been fitted throughout the inside of the library, and a new staff kitchen area has been installed.
To optimise space, a new storage container has been introduced to house all cleaning equipment. This relocation allows the dressing room to be utilised for its intended purpose and improves the functionality of the hall.
On the exterior, the Rolleston Hall and Library have seen substantial repairs. Roof leaks have been addressed, and walls showing signs of water damage have been replaced. The stormwater pipes and external cladding have also undergone repairs to ensure the longevity and safety of the building.
General Manager Communities John McDougall commented on the upgrades.
‘The recent upgrades highlight our commitment to providing maintained facilities for our community,’ he said
‘We’re excited for everyone to experience the enhanced comfort and functionality.
‘Addressing the exterior issues was crucial. By fixing the roof leaks and repairing the stormwater pipes, we’re safeguarding the building for the future.
‘These upgrades are more than just aesthetic improvements; they’re about enhancing the overall experience for our residents and ensuring the longevity of our community assets.’
