Try out skateboarding or take your skills to the next level at one of the Ownlife skateboarding workshops to be held at Central Highlands Regional Council skate parks these school holidays.
All Aboard Skateboard Sessions are free, co-educational skateboard workshops to encourage everyone to try out skateboarding. The workshops emphasise gender equality and inclusion with all skateboards and safety gear available.
Council’s Youth Development Officer Joshua Clutterbuck said workshops provide a safe and fun environment for beginners to intermediate skaters to test their skills and learn from professionals.
‘We’ll have skateboarding teachers Scott Standley and Rachel Urquhart from Ownlife host a series of workshops and trick competitions open to all ages,’ he said.
‘Scott is a well-known Australian skater with competition experience that has gained support from major sponsors.
‘He has been coming to the Central Highlands for three years to do workshops and share his experience with our young people.’
