Individuals, clubs and teams were recognised for their excellent performance in and commitment to their respective sport at Friday’s Central Highlands Sports Awards.
The awards ceremony unfolded over a social dinner, with guest speaker Performance Psychologist Dr Phil Jauncey opening the night.
Councillor Alan McIndoe said all nominees have shown outstanding commitment to sports in the Central Highlands and are deserving of their nomination.
‘We have remarkable people in all aspects of our community, but our sporting network is phenomenal and we don’t grasp what some of our sports people are achieving on a local and world-wide platform,’ he said.
‘The sports awards are a great opportunity to recognise those individuals and clubs and share success stories of the remarkable achievements in our sporting community.’
