The 2023 Sport and Active Recreation Awards are fast approaching, and council are asking the community to vote for the Event of the Year.
‘The 4 nominees each held amazing events, that were well supported by locals and local businesses,’ General Manager of Communities John McDougall said.
The nominees are:
- The 50th Anniversary of the Australian Campdraft Association National Finals – Springsure
- The 25th Wild Horse Cutting Competition – Rolleston
- Capras Clash – Emerald
- League of Legends – Emerald
‘These events brought passionate people from inside and outside the region to celebrate our central highlands sporting communities and are only 4 of many great sport and recreation events to run in 2022’ Mr McDougall continued.
