Former Young Australian of the Year nominee, and Moreton Bay’s Young Citizen of the Year, Olivia Hargroder is our Australia Day 2023 Ambassador.
‘We are excited to have Olivia joining us at our Central Australia Day Awards ceremony. She is an inspiration to all Australians,’ Mayor Kerry Hayes said.
Olivia ran a successful campaign to have athletes with down syndrome included in the Paralympics. She has taken her message across Australia and the world and addressed the United Nations in New York.
Tireless in her efforts, she genuinely has a message that she wants the world to hear, and the world is listening.
Olivia is also a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Arts, and the Young Actors Studio. As an accomplished actor, her career forges ahead on stage and screen. Olivia has also released a short film called ‘See me for who I am’.
‘While it was great to have Olivia with us virtually last year, we are all very excited to have her attend our Australia Day event this year in person,’ Mayor Hayes continued.
