  • Instructors Healthy Active Highlanders - 2021EOI014C

    Central Highlands Regional Council recognises the importance of our community’s wellbeing and the benefit of creating opportunities for our residents to participate in a healthy, active lifestyle. Council has previously delivered the Healthy Active Highlanders program with the assistance of Queensland Government funding under the Get out Get Active Program.

    We are looking for qualified personal trainers and group fitness instructors to conduct these group fitness sessions. Instructors will be responsible for coordinating safe, enjoyable and professional fitness classes.

    Below are just a few examples of some of the classes that council would like to offer in the 8-week timetable. Please note that this is just an example and if you offer anything outside of these types of classes you are still encouraged to submit your interest:
    • Circuit
    • Yoga
    • Pilates
    • Functional training
    • Dancing fitness

    Instructors will be required to:
    • Complete a council induction
    • Collect and record attendee information on council’s preferred system
    • Report regularly to council
    • Submit a weekly invoice
    • Wear the Healthy Active Highlanders training singlet provided by council

    Specifications and agreement

    Expressions of Interest (EOI) can be lodged via email, post or dropped into your local council office. These can be lodged between Wednesday 1st December 2021 and 5:00 pm Friday 21st January 2022.

  • Manager Sapphire Aquatic Centre - 2021E017C

    Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking formal proposals from suitably experienced and qualified companies for the management and operations of the Sapphire Aquatic Centre.

    Sapphire is a small rural locality situated in The Gemfields, Queensland’s Central Highlands
    region which is home to some 35,000 people. The area is known for its popular gem
    fossicking, in particular the striking sapphire, which attracts tourists year-round.

    The Sapphire Aquatic Centre is a popular spot for locals and tourists to cool off in the
    blistering Central Queensland summer heat. Housing a kids’ wading pool and a 12.5m pool,
    this position would suit an individual or couple who are looking for a prominent position in a
    great community with a flexible work-life balance.
