The Youth Strategy is council’s plan for the Central Highlands’ young people to identify their priorities over the next five years.
The Strategy is aligned with the Central Highlands Community Plan and council’s Corporate Plan 2017-2022.
Council recognises that youth are a valuable part of our community we need to act to ensure their needs are identified and a response provided.
This Strategy is a way for council to gain a regional perspective of needs across our 13 communities and to ensure that those needs are addressed through inclusive decision making processes.
Council has undertaken a number of engagement activities where the information gathered will directly influence the action planning for council’s youth service.
