Metal in March

The Metal in March festival promotes the diversity of the Central Highlands’ thriving arts and culture sector through providing the local community the opportunity to develop skills in different art forms.

In it’s inaugural year of 2021, the program offered exciting barbed wire art workshops in Capella, Comet, Arcadia Valley and Springsure.

This year will deliver quirky wire art activities in Emerald and beyond. See event details below.

The month-long celebration of wire art is an initiative of the Central Highlands Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee (CHACAC). As a council committee, CHACAC implements arts, cultural and heritage activities, and provide community perspectives into council’s strategic documents.
