Payment options

In person

Payments can be made directly to any council office located in Emerald, Capella, Blackwater, Duaringa, Rolleston, Springsure and Tieri during normal office hours. Please bring your current rates notice with cash, cheque or debit/credit card.



Mail your cheque or money order, together with the remittance slip from the bottom of the rates notice to:

Only cheques or money orders are accepted by mail and should be made payable to Central Highlands Regional Council. If a receipt is required, please tick where indicated on the remittance slip.


Direct Deposits

Direct deposits can be made, please contact council for the correct details

Reference number: Use number on the front of your notice.

Please allow sufficient processing time to ensure your payment is received before close of business on the specified due date.


Post Office

Payments can be made in person at any post office; via telephone by calling 13 18 16 or over the internet via Post Billpay

Please quote Biller Code 4197

EFTPOS may not be available from all Australia Post offices.


Credit Card

Phone 13 18 16 or go to Post Billpay  to arrange payment. There is a maximum limit of $10,000.00 per transaction.

EFTPOS facilities are available at council offices. Amex and Diners Club Cards are not accepted.
