Council is seeking feedback on the DRAFT Resource Recovery Waste Management Strategy 2022-2032.  Feedback is being sought up to 24 June 2022 on a 10 year strategy to improve the efficiency of council’s resource recovery (waste management) operation while minimising waste disposal to landfill and maintaining or improving the current level of service.

You can find out more about the draft strategy and complete our survey by visiting the dedicated Have Your Say website – Resource Recovery (Waste Management) Strategy 2022-2032 | Have Your Say, Central Highlands (chrc.qld.gov.au)

The Central Highlands Regional Council Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan (Amended) provides guidance and direction for the reduction of waste to landfill for the next ten years (2016-2026).

The plan will shape the future waste management services and infrastructure needs provided to the community, with a strong focus on resource recovery, recycling and reuse.

This brochure summarises the plans’ contents.
